THIXOTROPIC POLYESTER (511-0491)

It is used in petrochemical complexes, refineries, in fertilizer, paper and acid industries, in areas where high chemical and physical resistance and durability is required, particularly in the manufacturing of pipes and various tanks by filament trimming spray method. DEWILUX 491 is an isophthalic-based, unsaturated polyester with medium reactivity and low viscosity with high mechanical resistance and durability features. Its low viscosity allows good and quick wetting of the glass fiber. The polyester is ideal for use in the filament trimming spray method with this feature. Parts cured with DEWILUX 491 have high mechanical durability even in humid environments with medium temperature up to 60°C.
